Hair loss has become a major problem among many women, especially due to the current urban lifestyle.Hair loss is no longer only associated with aging, but is also linked to other factors such hormonal imbalance, stress, chemical products, diet, and medications. Most people often turn to chemical remedies for their hair loss problems; however, going natural is still the best way to deal with one's falling tresses.Chemical products have harmful side effects, and that is why it is wise to use natural products that have long-lasting benefits on the hair and have no harmful side effects.

Castor oil is a traditional natural beauty product that has been long forgotten and has been replaced by expensive chemical hair products. This oil is known to have beneficial properties to the scalp and hair, enhancing hair growth. The oil comes from the castor plant (Ricinus communis). It is a vegetable oil that has various uses.Seeds from the castor plant are cold pressed to get this oil.

Castor oil can be used on the hair and eyelashes to enhance growth and increase volume.  Regular use on hair can significantly improve the appearance and health of natural hair because it has natural antifungal and antibacterial properties and is enriched with Vitamin E, proteins, Omega 6 and 9 -- beneficial fatty acids and minerals.Castor oil is ideal for skin and hair because of its unusual high ricinoleic acid ratio.

Castor oil can prevent hair loss from the scalp in two ways. The antifungal and antibacterial properties make it beneficial against scalp infections, folliculitis, and dandruff. In addition, the ricinoleic acid content in castor oil helps to increase blood circulation to the scalp, thus improving hair growth.Blood circulation is a crucial aspect of hair growth. Its antimicrobial properties help to fight bacteria that causes dandruff. Therefore, both ricin and the antimicrobial properties work together to protect the scalp and keep it healthy.

This ricinoleic acid further balances the scalp's pH which helps to rejuvenate the scalp's natural oils and heals the damage caused by harsh chemical products.Castor oil contains antioxidants that support the keratin in the hair and improve hair strength and texture, making it less frizzy and smoother.

Castor oil is known as one of the best organic solutions. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce irritation on the scalp.Other benefits of castor oil to hair include eliminating split ends, moisturizing the scalp, hair, and restoring the natural color of hair.Omega 6 fatty acids and Vitamin E are responsible for moisturizing every shaft.

Some individuals may tend to doubt if castor oil helps restore hair.Hair loss and castor oil have a fascinating relationship. When used twice in a week, castor oil treatment will help eliminate most scalp ailments, and in the case of hair loss due to bacterial or fungus on the scalp, castor oil can restore and cure this.Castor oil can treat some forms of hair loss such as that caused by damaged hair, breakage or stress, and it also cures folliculitis hair loss conditions like Piedra and ringworm.

Massaging castor oil evenly on the scalp stimulates circulation and distribution of nutrients to all hair follicles. Thus, hair tends to become healthier and thicker.Healthy hair can grow long without experiencing thinning or breakage. When used together with essential oils such as lavender oil, an individual can gain the most benefits from it.  For the best results in achieving long hair, using cold pressed unrefined castor oil is the best option plus mixing it with rosemary essential oil.

Creating castor oil hair treatment is easy and involves using a natural oil mix.It is composed of castor oil, coconut oil, and jojoba oil.Castor oil should be used three times more than the other two oils in the mixture. To achieve best results from the treatment apply to the hair and massage the scalp thoroughly for about five minutes then rinse and shampoo accordingly.
