The month of February has utterly confounded the U.S.as the entire country has seen bizarre weather patterns stretching across the continent, with similar reports from Canada.
The eastern two-thirds of the country has been completely dominated by record warmth. The West Coast, typically dry in most parts year-round, has been caught off-guard by an abundance of torrential rain.
In the southern U.S., where it usually gets marginally colder in the winter, flowers are blooming in February. The Great Lakes, which are mostly located in the northeast, should be icy by now, yet they aren't very icy at all.
Residents all over the continent are remarking the bizarre weather they are experiencing.A jet stream of air separates the two-thirds experiencing record warmth from the far-west third of the continent, which is recording above-average precipitation in the form of both rain and snow, neither of which is typical in the region.
California is already calling 2017 the wettest water year on record, and the snowfall is unprecedented.Oregon, which is just north of California, is experiencing one of the harshest winters it has seen in a long time, with snow blanketing the state.
Much of what the United States is experiencing is mirrored by observations in Canada. This comes on the heels of President Trump's inauguration and his vow to dismantle the Environmental Protection Agency.[메디컬리포트=Oliver Smith 기자]
